In Magadan, a site is being prepared for the construction of a new hotel

In Magadan, they are starting construction of a four-star hotel in the region. The upcoming tasks for the construction of the hotel at the intersection of Primorskaya and Portovaya streets in the regional center were discussed by Governor Sergei Nosov at a working meeting with General Director of Tourism.RF Sergei Sukhanov and President of Cosmos Hotel Group Alexander Biba.

"The necessary permits for construction have been received for the facility. Preparatory work is already underway at the site," the head of the region noted.

As part of the project implemented by the project company "Bukhta Nagaeva", whose founders are the Corporation Tourism.RF, JSC "Cosmos OG" (brand Cosmos Hotel Group) and the Corporation for the Development of the Magadan Region, a modern hotel complex with 121 rooms of the "four-star" category will appear in Magadan. It also includes a restaurant with a view of Nagaev Bay and a conference hall for events. The new tourist infrastructure will allow to receive more than 40 thousand guests annually.

Currently, there is not a single hotel of this level in the Magadan Region. In addition, this facility will become a harmonious component of the sea façade of Nagaev Bay, which includes the White Nights Embankment, the Morskoy Square and the Mayak Park and is already a calling card of the region.

This is also part of the work of regional authorities to fulfill the President’s instructions on the development of the tourism infrastructure of the Magadan Region and the implementation of the Magadan master plan.

The head of state spoke about the enormous opportunities for tourism in Kolyma thanks to its unique nature. In order to increase the tourist flow, it is necessary to develop the hospitality industry, build hotels and improve the quality of service, Vladimir Putin noted.
