The Governor of Magadan Oblast met with cadets of the 3rd cohort as part of the Muravyov-Amursky 2030 Programme at the WEF-2024

Governor of the Magadan region Sergey Nosov answered the cadets' questions about the region's development, plans and prospects. Deputy Prime Minister Elena Suranova also took part.

The meeting was attended by cadets of the program interested in employment in the region and representatives of the project team. It should be reminded that the programme introduces applied topics on the Far Eastern regions' development. By order of the regional Ministry of Nature and Ecology, the cadets develop the problem of utilization of MSW and other types of waste in small towns.

Cadets from both Far Eastern regions, Moscow and central Russia showed interest in working in the Magadan region. They work in the business sector, regional ministries, banking, and public organizations. Three of them had internships in districts in the Magadan region earlier this year.

"We need people who are willing to come to the region for the long term, to work here, to invest their knowledge and experience. We'll help you. It is very important to go through all the "stepping stones" to understand aspects of the direction you are working in, to achieve high results. Our task, if you come, is to give you the opportunity to prove yourself. You can take an internship and understand whether you will be able to continue working or not," said Sergey Nosov, adding that the region is interested in a new view and approaches to solve the challenges.

The governor told the cadets about the rental housing under construction on Gorokhovoye Pole, which they will be able to use, among other things, if they come to work in the Magadan region.

The cadets indicated that they were ready to be reoriented. There was also a proposal from the cadets to hold a module of the next stream of the program in the Magadan region with familiarization with the work of large industrial enterprises. The Governor seconded the motion.

The cadets noted that the meeting with Sergey Nosov was productive, the head of the region answered all the questions and outlined positive employment prospects.

‘Sergey Konstantinovich spoke about the issues that are currently in the Far East, in the Magadan region, about things that need to be worked with. We had an opportunity to introduce ourselves, talk about priority areas of activity in Kolyma. Personally, I am interested in employment in this region. I also saw the interest of the head of the Magadan region in all the cadets. Each of us will be contacted after our meeting. It's motivating, and you realize that the governor team in the Far East needs you. And Magadan region is a good example," emphasized Rustam Huseynov, a cadet from Kamchatka Territory.

"As part of our internship in the Magadan region, we visited Ust-Omchug. We were struck by the breadth and beauty of nature and the openness of the people. Being from the North myself, I find it very familiar to me. The meeting was very open. It is good to see how Sergey Konstantinovich immersed himself, he was really interested in our experience. I am also interested in working in Magadan region," said Andrey Mironov, representative of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region.
