Sergey Nosov signed a cooperation agreement between the regional government and ALROSA

The Magadan region's pavilion at Far East Street hosts business meetings where important agreements are signed to support the socio-economic development of Kolyma.

Governor Sergey Nosov signed a cooperation agreement between the regional government and ALROSA. On behalf of the joint-stock company, the signature was affixed by Sergey Barsukov, Deputy General Director.

The subject of the Agreement is mutual realization of the investment project - development of the Degdekan gold ore field located in Tenkinsky municipal district of Magadan region. The investment volume of the project is 24 billion rubles.

"We are pleased that one of the most famous companies of the Russian Federation will cooperate with our region concerning the issue of gold mining. They also have a social responsibility and a standard. I would like to note that ALROSA will also provide personnel support, their employees will come to Kolyma to work at the gold ore plant that is planned to be built," said Governor Sergey Nosov.

Earlier at the presentation Magadan region reported about the intention to build a new gold extraction plant with a capacity of up to 5 tons of gold per year.

The signing of this agreement contributes to strengthening the economic potential of the Magadan region, including the development of hard-to-reach mineral deposits, increasing the regional gross product, as well as improving the efficiency of economic activity and creating new employment opportunities.

The Eastern Economic Forum takes place from 3 to 6 September in Vladivostok on Russky Island at the FEFU (Far Eastern Federal University) campus. On 7-8 September, the forum venues will be available for Primorye residents and guests.

The exhibition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.
