Talaya settlement will receive a power line
Instead of a dozen diesel power plants, Talaya settlement will get a ETL (electricity transmission line). Its construction is 60% complete, and the contractor plans to finish the work in autumn.
Marina Usova, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities and Energy of the Magadan region, reported to the Governor about the implementation of the centralised power supply project in Talaya settlement and the current situation with electricity supply to the residents and entities of the settlement.
Currently, diesel power plants provide the necessary power for the housing stock and socially important facilities. Nominally, the needs of the region's major facilities are also overlapped: the agricultural complex and the Talaya health resort of federal significance. But a stable power supply requires centralisation of the mains, which is what the construction of the ETL is associated with. The work is being performed with partial co-financing of the project from a federal source.
"60% of the total planned work has been completed. Construction is underway and the objective will be completed. The facility involved 48 people and 15 units of equipment. This is enough to get the work done, but we realize we are entering the winter season. Therefore, capacity is being increased, with an additional team arriving on 25 August.
The line is expensive, and without federal support, without the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East, without the Ministry of Energy it would be impossible to realize its construction. Today an agreement has already been reached and additional funding is expected during August-September,’ said Marina Usova.
It should be reminded that thanks to the support of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev and the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin, the ETL construction project was further supported.
