Magadansky polytechnic school presented the project ‘’Professionalitet‘’ to the participants of the forum ‘’Minex Far East‘’
As part of the Minex Far East forum, along with the presentation of employers, Magadansky Polytechnic School presented its new training opportunities for the mining industry.
Within the framework of the federal project ‘’Professionalitet‘’, the institution was allocated 100 million roubles to create an educational and production cluster ‘’Mining Industry‘’.
Already this autumn 17 laboratories and training and production sites will be opened on the basis of Magadan Polytechnic School. Students will be trained in 12 areas of study under new educational programmes designed specifically to meet the needs of employers - partners of the project.
"The main objective of the project is to satisfy the need for human resources for the city-forming industry in the region. The deficit of employees in this sphere exceeds two thousand people a year. We will train not only surveyors, geologists, enrichment specialists, but will also train in related specialities, for example, specialists in the maintenance of heavy equipment, buildings, structures, roads," said Ruslan Fedorchuk, Director of Magadan Polytechnic School.
The cluster includes 4 secondary vocational education institutions. 6 leading enterprises of the region interested in target training became co-participants of the project: Modern Machinery Far East LLC, PolyusMagadan JSC, Pavlik JSC, Polymetal MC JSC, Susumanzoloto JSC, Magadanenergo PJSC and the employers' contribution will amount to about 25 million rubles.
Training within the framework of the "Professionalitet" programme gives the student a unique opportunity to get a demanded profession with subsequent guaranteed employment in 2 years. A career map for each specialty has been developed in conjunction with employers. It clearly demonstrates the prospects of professional growth of a graduate, where step-by-step positions provided by the career ladder depending on the initially chosen specialty and the amount of salary are indicated.
The technical school is expected to train more than 775 skilled workers and specialists in the next three years.
The federal project "Professionalitet" became the driving force behind the comprehensive reboot of the system of secondary vocational education in the country. Its importance for the economy was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his Address to the Federal Assembly on the 29th of February.
"Based on the principles of close cooperation between education and real sector enterprises, we are implementing the Professionalitet project. It has renewed educational programs for aircraft and shipbuilding, pharmaceuticals, electronics, defense and other industries. We should extend such approaches to the entire system of secondary vocational education, including training for schools, hospitals, clinics, services, tourism, cultural institutions and creative industries," said Vladimir Putin.
