The working visit of the Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia Irek Fayzullin to the Magadan region has ended

On the third day of work the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation inspected the construction of several more social facilities. Construction of an 80-bed maternity hospital with a women's consultation and a day hospital continues on Oktyabrskaya Street in Magadan. According to the head of the site Vadim Kostitsin, the installation of electrics and ventilation water supply networks is now underway. The construction workers are doing interior finishing on the ground floor and have finished in the basement.

The construction of the maternity hospital is underway as part of the Magadan master plan, developed according to the instructions of President Vladimir Putin.

Maternity hospital construction will be completed this year.

Irek Fayzullin and Sergey Nosov inspected the work carried out at the third stage of the Mayak Park. This is the area of an overlook pedestrian crossing, a cascading waterfall and the Premier Community and Cultural Centre.

As the governor noted, the concrete work related to the cascading waterfall is now 95 per cent complete, and the illumination on the bridge has been connected. As the weather warms, landscaping around the building will begin.

Inside the Premier, the contracting organisation showed the minister and the governor the design projects for the future premises. The centre will become a venue for cultural, educational and creative events, concerts, forums, festivals and exhibitions.

The building is currently 60% complete with the utilities and 90% complete with the ventilation system.

The facility is planned to be completed in the middle of this year.

The Premier Center, along with Mayak Park, is an integral part of the master plan for the development of Magadan and the renovation of the "marine facade" of Kolyma's capital. One of the most important conditions for the renewal of the city's coastal infrastructure is the cleaning of the water area of Nagaeva Bay from wrecks and other objects.

Sergey Nosov and Irek Faizullin inspected the work being carried out within the framework of the federal project "General Cleaning". Preparations are now underway to bring up the old Neva shipyard, which is encased in ice. The facility was flooded in 1999. The weight of the Neva is estimated at more than 2,000 tonnes. And now the challenge is to lighten the weight as much as possible. The floating plant will be raised out of the water as soon as the icing subsides.

The cleaning of Nagaev Bay began in June 2021. A total of 20 sunken vessels and barges have already been removed from the water area during the project implementation.

Further, the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation and the governor visited the construction site of a secondary school for 530 children in the Third microdistrict. It will be a spacious three-storey building with a total area of over 15 thousand square meters. There will be two gyms for schoolchildren, an assembly hall with a bandstand. Playgrounds, sports grounds and recreation areas will be located on the territory of the school. It is planned that the new educational institution will have an engineering bias. The construction is carried out within the framework of the national project "Education".

The school is being built according to modern standards. It will be equipped with high-tech equipment that will allow children to master both general programs and receive additional education.

The school is scheduled to be completed this year.

Also during the visit Irek Faizullin visited the park of ethnic culture of the peoples of the North "Dyukcha", where a small excursion was organized for him. This modern place of attraction for Kolyma residents is the winner of the All-Russian contest of the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment within the framework of the Presidential National Project "Housing and Urban Environment".

The Minister toured the enclosure with sled dogs, pavilions with expositions of handicrafts and master classes for children and adults aimed at making souvenirs of the peoples of the North.

The Head of the Ministry of Construction was informed that the ethnopark hosts one of the most favourite holidays among the Kolyma people - the Even New Year "Hebdenek", as well as the country's only festival and competition in placer gold panning "Prospector's Fart".

At the end of his visit to the Magadan region Irek Faizullin inspected four apartment buildings in Palatka settlement, which are planned to be reconstructed and apartments to be transferred to the resettlers from the dilapidated and emergency housing stock.

These are apartment buildings on Yubileynaya Street, with a total area of about 18 thousand square meters. The Minister was informed that a preliminary survey of the buildings had been carried out and it showed that the houses were suitable for restoration.

In the future about 400 families will be able to get apartments here.

Summarizing the results of the three-day visit to the Magadan region, the head of the Ministry of Construction noted that he had positive impressions of what he had seen.

"We see the designated timeframes in which the implementation of all programs in the territory of Magadan region is going on. And I said at the general meeting that the results are positive for the programmes and I would like to see that what is in the plans, what we promised people, will be implemented. I am convinced that Sergey Konstantinovich and his team will get these results. And of course there is great support here from the President of our country, and from Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin, who visited the region As you can see, the Mayak Park program is being actively implemented and this year we will already see a completely new public space on the shore of Nagaevskaya Bay. We also looked at how the program for cutting ships that have been raised is being implemented. This is also a serious result. For many years this was not done and today we see that the process is underway. This will all change the space that is in the bay," Irek Faizullin said.

He also wished Sergey Nosov further success in the realization of all plans to build new social facilities and modern public spaces.

The governor thanked the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation for the high evaluation of the work, as well as for the support in the implementation of all projects.

"We see that there is an absolute understanding, knowledge of the nuances, situations and settings in each region and in the Magadan region, in particular. We find support from the Ministry in the implementation of construction and improvement projects - the territory is being transformed comprehensively. I think that this work is appreciated by our residents, it gives a positive social effect, which we planned and it works," - said the Governor.
