In Kolyma, every sixth entrepreneur received the support of the SME Corporation in 2023
In 2023, every 12th entrepreneur in the country received government support from the SME Corporation. Last year, every 17th small or medium-sized enterprise took advantage of the measures of the Federal Development Institute. Compared to 2020, the growth was 3.5 times. This was made possible by increasing the coverage of financial programs, launching a special guarantee system, and developing a Digital SME platform. The Russian Federation and the expansion of quotas for purchases of state-owned companies from small and medium-sized businesses. The SME Corporation's development strategy provides that by the end of 2025, every 5th entrepreneur in the country will be covered by state support. This will be achieved by digitalizing state support measures and simplifying the procedure for obtaining them.
This year, the leading regions in terms of the number of recipients of Corporate support from the total number of SMEs are the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs (every 3rd and every 5th entrepreneur, respectively), as well as the Magadan Region (every 6th). It should be noted that over 11 thousand people in Kolyma are registered as self-employed and representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.
The leaders of the list among the large regions are the Udmurt Republic, the Tyumen Region, the Khabarovsk Territory, the Irkutsk and Orenburg regions (every 9th entrepreneur in them became a recipient of support).
The analysis of the SME Corporation shows that companies that have received state support through the Corporation show an increase in income by 19% and an increase in employment by 5%. At the same time, similar SMEs without state support were able to achieve income growth of 6% and reduced employment by 3%.
“Today, thanks to digitalization, the state itself offers support measures to entrepreneurs based on an analysis of their activities. At the end of 2022, we launched a digital profile on SME.RF. The platform defines exactly what a particular company needs at this stage of development and offers the necessary support that is suitable for this particular business. In case of refusal, the user is an SME.The Russian Federation always knows exactly the reasons for such a decision and can promptly eliminate the shortcomings,” said Alexander Isaevich, CEO of SME Corporation. “Using the example of digitalization of the work of state MFOs, we can clearly see and analyze the reasons for refusals in microloans, and look at the share of start-up companies.”
Recall that the expansion of state support for business, including through its digitalization, is provided for by the national project “Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”. It was initiated by President Vladimir Putin and is overseen by First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.
