The pavilion of the Magadan region at VDNH welcomes guests

On November 4, there was the exhibition-forum "Russia" opened in Moscow on the territory of VDNH. This exhibition has presented all the achievements of the country for recent years.

Eleven Far Eastern regions, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic (Minvostokrazvitiya) and the Russian Far East Development Corporation presented a single exposition "We are the Far East" at the international exhibition-forum "Russia". The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Alexey Chekunkov, representatives of the Far Eastern regions.

“Today we can see a wonderful exhibition “Russia”, which is dedicated to our big and great country. The Far East regions tried to show the features of their territories, sightseeing, economic potential through the exhibition "We are the Far East" – how they implement investment projects. I think that the exhibition of the Far East regions is really successful. But the most important thing is not only this economic indicator and their natural beauties, but also people who live, study, and work in the Far East. Visitors can learn about people of the Far East and even hear their own stories. This is really a treasure, which our country, our Far East proud of ,” Yuri Trutnev said.

The opening day of the exhibition "Russia" coincided with the celebration of National Unity Day in the country. "I wish all residents of the Far East can see and feel that the region is becoming more beautiful, well–arranged and comfortable day by day, month by month, year by year," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The exposition of the Magadan region conveys the harsh atmosphere of the region – straight, clear lines and high stands, which present the results of industrial development over the past six years and the successful results of the Magadan region in the social sphere. During the first days, there were several thousand people visited the pavilion of this region.

According to the Governor of the Magadan region Sergei Nosov, visitors will be able to:

look at the city from a bird's eye view;

take a walk in the Mayak park Mayak;

take an interactive trip around Nagaeva Bay;

see the wild animals and nature of Kolyma (The Magadan region) up close at all times of the year.

The International exhibition-forum “Russia” will be held from November 4 to April 12 in Moscow at VDNH. It was opened in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin “in order to demonstrate the most important achievements of the Russian Federation in various sectors of the economy, including industry, energy, agro-industrial complex, transport, construction, science and culture.”
