Scattered gold

To date, the most promising is the Yano-Kolymskaya gold province, located within the borders of the Magadan Region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); the province includes 14 deposits with estimated resources and gold reserves of about 5 thousand tons.

On the territory of the Magadan Region there are nine objects of the Yano-Kolymskaya gold province with a resource potential of 3,750 tons, of which about 40% are explored.

The deposits of the Kolymo-Omolonskaya province are promising, where deposits of gold-silver type with a high metal content in ore bodies may prevail.

The deposits of the "ancient" silica gold formation of the Shamanikho-Stolbovsky and Dzhugadzhak ore districts are of great importance.

The Magadan Region is the leader in silver mining in Russia.

The reserves of silver, taken into account by the State Reserve, allow its extraction in the amount of 500–600 tons for the next 30–40 years, and taking into account the subsequent implementation of the forecast resources — up to 100 years.

Apart from traditional gold, silver and tin ore deposits, promising ore occurrences and deposits of tin, copper, polymetals, molybdenum, tungsten, mercury, antimony, and rare metals are known in the Region.
